For our June event, we’ll be hearing from Dr Callum Watson (@vivstan211240), who is known for his educational anniversary posts and the ability to relate anything back to his blog. He also works as a Battle Coordinator at the Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre (@BattleofBannock), where they promote their 3D immersive experience on social media with an emphasis on user-generated content.
He’ll talk about the challenges of trying to promote such a unique heritage experience via social media, and how things like #OTD posts can help to achieve this while educating and engaging a wider audience.
The event will consist of a short talk and tour of the centre. Please note that the full Battle of Bannockburn Experience (including the Battle Game) is NOT included.
OPTIONAL: You may join the Battle of Bannockburn Experience(£11.50/Adult) once our event has ended. Last entrance to the Battle Game is 4pm. Entry is by pre-booked time slots. This is not part of the SHSMG event and you are not required to attend.
