SCHEDULE

CATCH UP

3.00pm to 3.30pm

We’ll kick things off with a quick round-up of training dates, job and volunteering opportunities, and social media updates.

TALKING TEAMWORK – TALK, Q&A and OPEN DISCUSSION

3.30pm to 4.00pm

Stewart Hardy has been the Marketing Officer at National Library of Scotland (@natlibscot) since June 2015 and in the last two years, he’s developed a system which draws the entire organisation into social media. Stewart will talk about the structure of the setup at NLS and how they work closely with curators. He’ll also talk about expectations vs reality when it comes to representing a national body on social media, and how he sets the tone.

EXHIBITION TOUR – ENDURING EYE

‘Enduring Eye’ showcases Frank Hurley’s photographs of Sir Ernest Shackleton and the men of the ‘Endurance Expedition’ of 1914-1917, alongside items from the Library’s polar collections. To close the event, Beverley Casebow, Learning Officer at NLS, will give us a tour of the exhibition.
